My Experience
I am definitely a bit of an Athlete, which is where this story begins…
Throughout my childhood, I was a 3 sport athlete. Football, baseball and basketball. In high school I dropped the latter 2 to focus on football. Thus, starting what would be the beginning of my weightlifting journey over the last 10 years.
2006
Football Begins
At the ripe age of 8 years old – 2nd grade, is the first time I strapped on the pads and laced up my cleats.
2012
Freshman Year of High School
The beginning of what is now my weight-lifting career. Russian kettlebell movements were the primary focus in this year of my training.
2013
Sophomore Year of High School
The real weight-lifting begins. Our strength and conditioning coach *thankfully* decides to drop the kettlebells and pick up real weights. Much in part to us being the smallest, weakest team in the league. Wonder why? Hahaha just kidding…
2015
Senior Year of High School
After just 2 full years of weight training and one long ass dirty bulk… We become a member of the 1000/LB club. Coming in with a 395/LB squat, 275/LB bench, 405/LB conventional deadlift. Yes, I did in fact miss 4 plates on squat by just 10 pounds. Sad story.
